How to take a good care of your hair?

Every woman dreams about healthy and beautiful hair, which we see in all shampoo commercials. However, as we may know, taking care of hair is not easy, and sometimes even when we really try, it still doesn’t look good. So is it really possible to improve the condition of our locks? Of course it is! There are some simple rules that may change our appearance in a very positive way. We gathered them all here, so you may learn about them and put them in practice right away.

1. Wash your hair just two or three times a week

We tend to wash our hair every day, during our daily showers. But as it turns out, it is not a proper way to handle them at all! The natural oils that are produced by the hair perfectly condition and protect them, but when we wash our locks too often we get rid of those vital oils. That is why, experts agree that you shouldn’t wash your hair more than two or three times a week. It may be a problem for some people at the beginning, but you definitely won’t regret that decision.

2. Shampoo mainly your scalp and do not use hot water

Some of us may think that the larger amount of cosmetics designed for hair the better, but it is not that simple. First of all, you should choose the products which are right for your hair type. Then, make sure not to use too much shampoo – a blop the size of a bigger coin is enough. What is more, you should try to use the shampoo only on your scalp. It will rinse down in the shower anyway, so do not rub it into the ends. And avoid using really hot water, because it can dry out your hair.

3. Find a good-quality conditioner and apply it in the right way

Conditioner is a very important cosmetic if we want to treat our hair in a proper way. It should match your hair type and possible problems you may have with them. What is more, you also need to apply it right. If you have enough time, you should towel-dry your hair after shampooing and before you put the conditioner on them. In case you are in a hurry, at least squeeze out the water, as too much of it prevents the conditioner from penetrating you hair and moisturizing it properly.

4. Brush your hair two times a day

If you want to have beautiful and healthy hair, you need to take some time and brush them carefully twice a day. Do it in the morning and before you go to bed, for at least one minute. Just remember to do it gently and from the bottom up, as when you brush them from the roots it may damage them. And make sure to keep your brush and a comb clean, so they won’t be covered with hair, oils and cosmetics, allowing bacteria to develop.

5. Use your hairdryer wisely

Hot air dries out our locks and damages them, so you should make sure to use your hairdryer in a proper way. First of all, you shouldn’t dry your hair right after washing them. Cover them with towel and let them dry for about 15 minutes in more natural way. Then you may use the hairdryer but if it’s possible, try not to use the high heat settings. Also, keep the dryer at some distance of your hair and move them around as the warm air is doing its job.
