4 Tips On How to Make a Home Spa

In a perfect world, we would all have both time and money to go to professional spas and undergo all-day caring treatments. However, reality is different, and we have to face it to find alternative solutions. We are proud to present a list of four tips that will allow you to get spa-like effects in the comfort of your home. You just have to try them – they are easier than they seem to be!

1. Peel It Off and Bright Up Your Face

You can totally maintain spa results with a facial routine within your four walls – the thing is, don't treat your face with a peeling after a steamy hot shower, cause your pores are open, and skin is too vulnerable and sensitive to irritation. Do the regular cleansing with a light, gentle cleanser just before you go to sleep. Use a peel right after this step – it will relieve congested pores and remove dead skin cells effectively. In the result your skin will brighten up. Why should you do it during the nighttime? It's simple: your skin rejuvenates mainly overnight.

2. Try Out Dry Brushing

For many of you dry brushing is a favorite method of exfoliation, cause it is a multifaceted treatment for your body. It gives truly incredible results – for example it increases elasticity of your skin and it works as a cellulite treatment. Just start dry brushing at tops of your feet and then move upward. Always brush toward your heart. You are the one who knows your body best – you are aware of your weak points, so remember about them while cultivating the routine. Spend extra time on stagnant areas (inner thighs and so on) and don't avoid any significant part (like your back or backs of your arms). Why should dry brushing be an obligatory element of a home spa? Well, it is an easy way to increase circulation and to feel a nice warmth after all. The difference in a cellulite and your overall skin quality will be visible after a few days of a morning routine. Do it right before you get into a shower!

3. Make Your Own Mask

Your own concoctions can be the same effective as an expensive facial treatment in a professional spa. Do it yourself and get the glow you have always dreamed of. The possibilities are infinite. Here is an example recipe to try:

  • 3 tablespoons of warmed honey (it is responsible for hydration),
  • 2 tablespoons of wheatgrass juice or oat grass juice (it detoxifies, nourishes and stimulates lymphatic drainage),
  • ¼ cup of yogurt (it soothes and exfoliates).

4. Test Out Lymphatic Massage

Last but not least, another great domestic treatment is lymphatic drainage massage. Do you want to keep your skin de-puffed and clear? Are you dreaming about a perfect glow? Lymphatic massage is a tool that you can use to make your face look whole years younger. This is why dry skin owners should bet on circular motions (moving upward and starting from the neck area, where the arteries are). Go constantly up – do the gentle circles toward your jaw, the face sides and around eyes. It will allow coax nutrients right into the tissues. If you suffer from breakouts, you should try massaging in the opposite direction. Let's start at the top of your face and go down and down – it may draw the waste better.
